49ers already near touchdown underdogs to Chiefs

The San Francisco 49ers travel to face the Kansas City Chiefs this coming weekend http://www.the49ersfootballauthentic.com/earl-mitchell-jersey-authentic , and it’s safe to say this will be a tough one. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has set an NFL record for most touchdown passes through two games to start a season. He had four in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers, and another six in Week 2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Both games came on the road, and now the Chiefs get their home opener against the 49ers.It is fitting then that the 49ers are sizable underdogs with line showing some serious movement. The line opened with the 49ers as low as a 4.5 point underdog at sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark. It now stands at six points, with some some up to seven points.Early money is heavily on the Chiefs, which is not surprising given their performance these first two weeks. If the money keeps pouring in on Kansas City, we could see the line continue climbing. However, if sportsbooks don’t want to go too far north Womens Tress Way Jersey , they can also adjust the vig, lowering the payout for subsequent bets on the spread. Either way, I suspect we see more adjustments in favor of the Chiefs. The 49ers offense should be able to do some things against a shaky at best Chiefs defense. On the other hand, I really don’t know what the 49ers defense is going to do against Patrick Mahomes and company. The pass rush is inconsistent, and while Richard Sherman is off to a solid start with the 49ers, the rest of the secondary has struggled in a big way. Ahkello Witherspoon was benched on Sunday in the fourth quarter, so confidence will be a concern for the time being. Jaquiski Tartt suffered a shoulder injury Youth Weston Richburg Jersey , and we’re still awaiting a status update. The good news is the 49ers welcome back Reuben Foster, but it’s going to be a tough one on Sunday for this defense. I’ve been making a few radio appearances in anticipation of the San Francisco 49ers Thursday Night Football matchup against the Oakland Raiders and the big question, well the one besides why this game is happening, is who will start C.J. Beathard or Nick Mullens? Well, wonder no more! ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Nick Mullens will get the nod and start tonight. The 49ers followed it up a few minutes later to make it official. The 49ers waived Tom Savage (yet again) and it indicated that Beathard would be active tonight, but as Fooch noted, it didn’t indicate if Beathard would start. Beathard injured his hand in the 49ers’ Week 8 loss to the Arizona Cardinals and was regarded as a game-time decision. The 49ers want to get out of this game as well as 2018 without reaggravating anything else and will need Bethard for the long-term. A three day rest period just wasn’t going to work. I imagine if this was a Sunday game http://www.the49ersfootballauthentic.com/pierre-garcon-jersey-authentic , Beathard would no doubt be under center. So now Nick Mullens will be starting. Mullens came to the 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2017 and spent that year’s season on the practice squad. He has not started a regular season NFL game in his career. He helped the 49ers win a preseason game to start 2018, but spent his time on the practice squad until Jimmy Garoppolo’s unfortunate knee injury put him in the starting lineup. Things already got interesting for Thursday night as we will get a chance to watch Nick Mullens in NFL action. It will be interesting to see what happens with this game and what the 49ers decide going forward for the rest of the season, especially if Mullens plays lights out. And here we go!
