FIVE QUICK NBA THOUGHTS: 1. Ethan Westbrooks Jersey . TORONTO RAPTORS AND THE PLAYOFFS: After watching the Brooklyn Nets and Miami Heat game Tuesday night and once again witnessing the Nets beat the Heat, Im convinced that the best course of action for the Raptors will be for them to make sure they do everything in their power to secure the third seed in the Eastern Conference and the Atlantic Division title. I want no part of the other current bracket (Heat/Nets/Chicago Bulls). Ill take my chances with the Washington Wizards or Charlotte Bobcats in the first round, though, either of those match-ups isnt a walk in the park, either. If you can win a series, and that wont be easy, and the current standings hold form, I feel confident that the Raptors could play a very competitive series against the Indiana Pacers. Im not saying they would win that series - the defence has to really improve down the stretch here and get back to early-mid-January form - but it would be quite compelling. There are five games left. Win all of your games and you write your own ticket. Stumble and the help will have to come from others and thats never a position you want to be in. 2. JOE DUMARS (Pistons): Rumours are swirling that hes going to step down as the teams president and GM and Im not a bit surprised. Too many coaching firings and going all-in on guys like Ben Gordon, Charlie Villaneuva, Josh Smith and Brandon Jennings sealed his fate in Motown. He had a terrific run in the early 2000s as the elite team in the Eastern Conference, but you see it often with coaches and GMs - you lose your fastball and get stale in your approach/creativity and you lose your way. Hes a good basketball man and some time away will reinvigorate him and Im sure hell be back at it again down the line. 3. MIKE DANTONI (Lakers): Watching some of his recent games, he looks like a beaten man and someone who knows that his fate is sealed in LA. DAntoni is an outstanding offensive coach who has had to deal with numerous injuries and drama there. At the end of the day, its a results-oriented business and when you evaluate his run in Denver, New York and LA, it doesnt look good. On the other hand, his teams in Phoenix - thanks in large part to Bryan Colangelos personnel moves - were awesome and entertaining to watch. Does he get another shot? Im not sure, but I do know that hes very capable if you give him a solid roster. If it ends there, I think hell be heard from again, at least as an assistant coach for a head coach looking for a guy who can upgrade his offence. Hed be a guy to talk to if hed consider being in that role. 4. INDIANA PACERS: Heard coach Frank Vogels interview where he said that being the top seed in the East was the "goal", but the "priority" is to be playing well down the stretch and be healthy/sharp heading into the playoffs. Well, what a change in approach. Theyve been obsessed with being the top seed since training camp. Now its about trying to rebuild your teams collective psyche, which wont be easy, but is doable. The talent is there to win the East, but the chemistry is off-kilter and Roy Hibbert needs a reality check. He is a defensive player who can block shots and rebound on both ends. Do what you do well, thats your strength, and play to it. Hes a quatenary or quinary offensive option in the grand scheme of things when hes on the floor. If they get him to buy into that, theyll be fine. Paul George and David West must have the ball in their hands a majority of the time, plain and simple. 5. STEVE NASH (Lakers): Congrats on becoming number-three on the NBAs all-time assists list last night. I watched the game versus the Houston Rockets and felt for him playing injured and in pain. Its ice to see him out there, though. What a career. Hell be a Hall of Famer. Itll be interesting to see if hes back next year for the Lakers for the final year of his contract, but its been a great run either way. Robert Woods Jersey . Jose Bautista homered for the fifth straight game in the sixth inning, following a two-out solo homer by Melky Cabrera. Edwin Encarnacion led off the seventh with a homer to tie the game 3-3 and, with two out in the seventh, Munenori Kawasaki came through with the two-out single to score pinch-runner Steve Tolleson with what proved to be the winning run. Zach Laskey Jersey . The Red Wings hadnt played the night before. The Boston Bruins had. A month from now, or two months from now, it doesnt matter. But right now it does matter, when you start and you play back to back, its wear and tear on you for sure, Babcock said. http://www.laramsfansshop.com/c-37-rams-jacob-mcquaide-jersey.aspx . The two-time former Formula One champion downplayed his third-place finish three weeks ago in China and said progress is going slow for Ferrari as it tries to make up ground on Mercedes.EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - On the surface, Sundays game between the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants might not mean much. After all, both teams have been eliminated from playoff contention. The Giants dont look at it that way.The Giants (6-9) think of Sunday afternoons game as a chance to continue their winning ways into the off-season, an opportunity for younger players to get as a shot to prove they can play at a high level. A chance for revenge for an earlier loss, too, and a way for veteran players who are facing free agency to prove they deserve another contract with the team. Its important for us, because any time you line up, its important to win, Giants coach Tom Coughlin said Friday. Obviously with the last game of the year, its very important. Weve had a couple of wins. We certainly enjoy that part of it much more than the other.Ive talked all year about improvement and individual improvement and team improvement and progress and all of those kinds of things, and there has been a little bit of progress, and I certainly would like to see it continue. The Giants enter the game against the Eagles (9-6) on a three-game winning streak. Their quarterback, Eli Manning, is on a roll, putting up some of the best numbers of his career.Ever since a five-interception game in a loss to the 49ers on Nov. 16, Manning has completed 127 of 182 passes (69.7 per cent) for 1,486 yards with 11 touchdowns and just two interceptions. Its approaching the 70 per cent ratio that new offensive co-ordinator Ben McAdoo floated to Manning in the preseason. For the year, Manning is completing 64.1 per cent of his passes (351 of 548) for 3,981 yards, 29 TDs and just 13 interceptions. The team has also established rookie wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. as a rising star. After missing the first four games with an injury, Beckham has broken out, catching 79 of Mannings passes for 1,120 yards and 11 touchdowns, making his fair share of highlight-film receptions.New York has also seen another rookie, Andre Williams, emerge as a go-to back. Williams has gone for more than 100 yards in two of the last three wins, including 110 yards on 26 carries in last weeks 37-27 victory over the Rams. After a rugged start, Williams has a team-high 678 yards rushing and six touchdowns. Its very important to keep building on whaat weve been building, said Williams, who was upgraded from questionable to probable for Sunday with a sore shoulder. Cory Littleton Jersey. We want to go out with a bang, stay strong, to go out on top. We want to finish strong, so every time I get on the field its important. Its a chance to get on the field and grow as a player.Williams may have to share time Sunday with Rashad Jennings, who was the teams leading rusher before going out with a sprained ankle that has now healed. Jennings has been cleared to play Sunday. Were starting to click like we should have been, clicking on all cylinders, Jennings said. We dont want it to end. I think the whole team feels that way, like we wish it wasnt our last game. Were preparing as if were going to the playoffs and thats our goal for next year. I cant guarantee anything, but thats our mindset. Weve only had glimpses and flashes of what we could look like. Were going to come back next year and pick it all up again. We have a chance to be great, and I dont say that lightly. We want to leave a good taste in our mouths.Another key Giant is defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul, who is staring at becoming a free agent. Pierre-Paul has had a steady year, making 72 tackles, including 10 1-2 sacks and three forced fumbles. Is it enough to get a big contract from the Giants?I dont know what the future holds, Pierre-Paul said. Everything is there. My agent will negotiate. Im not worried about it. I just want to win this last game, go out and play some football Sunday, go out and put on a show for our fans.If Pierre-Paul has his choice, he would prefer to stay with the Giants.Ive always thought that if Im a Giant, Im a Giant my whole life, Pierre-Paul said. Id love to be a Giant and want to be a Giant forever. I have a lot more football to play. Everyone asks me that question every week and I say the same thing. I dont know. I dont know what the future holds. Ive had a good season. Its now up to negotiation.NOTES: Rookie LB Devon Kennard, who had been playing solid football, will miss the game with a toe injury. He was declared out after Fridays practice. ... Jennings, Williams, LB Jameel McClain and LB Paul Hazel are all probable. . With a win, the Giants will match their 2013 record of 7-9.___AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP_NFL Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale NFL Jerseys Jerseys From China Wholesale NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '
